| Industrial Park Regional Detention Pond |
|
This new City of Belton Industrial Park Regional Detention Pond is located on the west side of town along Commerce Street. This project provides the much needed storm water management control to the rapidly growing City of Belton Industrial Park. Located directly down stream from this drainage basin is a large multi-family Apartment Complex with limited capacity for additional storm water runoff. This apartment complex needed relief from the high channel flows that occurred during a heavy rainfall event. Therefore, this regional detention pond was designed to attenuate the large frequency storm events to alleviate the volume of storm water traveling through the residential area. In doing so it has allowed for future development within the area. Between rainfall events, the pond also serves as a local sports complex for youth baseball and soccer practices.
Primary tasks performed include: providing the regional drainage investigation and modeling, conceptual plans, estimating project costs, creating design topography surveys, providing detailed construction plans and specifications, providing bidding and construction administration assistance, and meeting the time frames established by the City of Belton. |
